Our 2025 LCC Youth Team comprises 15 riders (11 boys and 4 girls) ranging from Nipper to Youth category. The team is involved in Road, Marathon, XCC, XCO and Enduro disciplines. The new look DEMACON branded Club Kit looks really good and is worn at all races except Schools Series events.
Here’s a full summary of the LCC Youth Team from the past two months.
Currently LCC is dominating the podiums at all the XCC, XCO and Marathon events – no other club has these kinds of results on the podium.

We have almost finished the Gauteng XCC and XCO events with podiums coming from Sumé Fourie and Lian de Bruyn in the Nippers, Christian Moolman and Roxy de Lange in Sub Juniors and Jaco de Bruyn and Amelie Moolman in Youth. The end of the season will culminate at the KZN Youth Festival in Karkloof – effectively Nationals.
The Schools Series has also kicked off and it is impressive that three of our riders Jaco De Bruyn, Roxy de Lange and Amelie Moolman are all in the leader Jerseys in the High School Series.

Markus, from Coach M, has been working with the kids on skills training and it is showing with their progress. Improvements on the trails at Rotsvas are really being enjoyed by the youngsters as a regular, safe and challenging training ground.
It has been exciting to watch these kids race and grow. Little Lian de Bruyn rode so hard at one of the events telling us he didn’t know what happened during the race… He was in first place and then just fell asleep (passed out).

Christian Moolman got to mix it up amongst the pro’s at the Waterberg Traverse at Summerplace finishing well ahead of his parents and other club members (he was one of the first riders in after the Elites). One of his highlights of the season is being invited on a coffee ride with Jaedon Terlouw. And the team got to interact with Candice Lill and Luke Moir at SA’s at Thaba Trails earlier in the year. It’s really great to see how the role models are encouraging the Youth.
We are looking forward to the Schools and Marathon series that lie ahead and hoping for good results at the Youth Festival in Karkloof in July.
We are extremely grateful for the support they receive from the Club and it is an honour and privilege to work with this great bunch of up and coming champions.
