Meet the 2026 LCC Youth Racing Team

We are super proud to announce our Club Youth Racing Team for 2026. Tiers are based on performances in 2025 and, unless a rider drops out completely, will remain for the first six months of the year. After this the rider’s Tiers will be recalculated (Tiers refer to the level of sponsorship the club gives). Most of the Tier One riders are National or Gauteng champions for 2025.

Tier 1

  • Roxy de Lange
  • Jaco du Bruyn
  • Christian Moolman
  • Amelie Moolman

Tier 2

  • SumE Fourie
  • Annebell Kleyn
  • Ruben Kruger
  • Dylan Kohlmeyer
  • Daimon Batteson
  • Terien Richter

Tier 3

  • Leo Pienaar
  • William Pienaar
  • Lian du Bruyn
  • Christian Ross
  • Piet van Hoven
  • Jaedon Kriedman

They were awarded their Club Colours on Saturday 24 January.

We have also made a principal decision to stop bringing primary schools riders into the team. Those from last year, who have kept performing will remain but are not eligible for Tier One. This is to enable us to give better support to the high-school performers.

But this does not mean that we are dropping the primary school performers. Adrienne is busy setting up a Youth Club Structure that will give primary school riders (and high schoolers who aren’t in the racing team) access to most of the Youth Racing Team’s support – access to the club gazebos at races, training tips and skills afternoons with Adrienne and Markus, talks and training rides at Rotsvas, etc.

But with the limited resources we have, we have to be as strategic as we can. We know that there are a host of primary school children who are showing incredible talent, and we still want to expose them to the training and coaching that we have access to.

Of course, we celebrated the incredible successes that our Youth Racing Team had in 2025 and our Victrix Ludorum was Roxy de Lange. She has started off where she left off in 2025 by recently winning the Midvaal Fast One 106 km U17 woman, with Terien Richter second. Our Victor Ludorum for 2025 was Jaco du Bruyn. Roxy and Jaco are pictured above.

We look forward to seeing all of our youngsters – Youth Racing team and Youth Team performing well again this year.

Below are LCC Youth Team members that were recognised for their achievements in 2025 at the Gauteng Cycling Awards.
