As the racing season gets into full swing, our LCC Youth Team continue to make their mark.

The early Road Season (and SA Road Champs) meant that those who compete in Road and XCO disciplines are collecting piles of Club Racing Points – but that will even out as the MTB Season kicks into high gear this winter.Roxy de Lange, Terien Richter and Reuben Kruger are great examples of this.

Following hot on their heels are the MTB specialists like Jaco du Bruyn, Amelie & Christiaan Moolman, Sumé Fourie and Lian du Bruyn. And on the Enduro scene, Leo and William Pienaar are getting their groove on. (Justin Deyzel – is also getting back to top form.)

Whilst Youth Team members are not allowed to race the Schools Racing events in Club colours (series regulations – they have to wear school colours) they are recognised as being LCC riders because at Gauteng XCO/XCC Cup they proudly race in our colours.

Trailseeker events allow for age appropriate Marathon Distance racing, and again our team members keep excelling and getting Podiums.

Spare a thought for those who have suffered injuries early in the season.  We wish you a speedy recovery and a quick rise to form again.

Thanks to the Team Manager (Adrienne) and the rest of the parents who faithfully setup our club gazebo at all events – and transport the team. They can’t do it without you – our unsung heroes. Remember, all LLC kids and parents are welcome to hang out at the club gazebo at any events.

In addition to XCO, some of the team members raced the recent Berg & Bush stage race with podiums at the end of a fantastic two days of marathon stage racing.
